I put this down to him being cocky and young; wanted to look ‘cool’ and ‘different’ by saying he supported arsenal, as they were obviously better than us when he was younger. You get that a lot in kids, saying they don’t support their home city team when they’re crap.

When I did my undergrad in law, I was part of a tiny majority in my cohort (300+) who agreed with capital punishment. I understand the finite nature of it, and why some would be against it because of that, but in a cut and dry case such as this, it’s the only option.
