@C4Dispatches
2007 was not such a radically different time that it was appropriate behaviour then and inappropriate in 2023. His behaviour was NEVER acceptable. The BBC clearly embraced the fact that his shock "humour" brought in more listeners. They should be ashamed of themselves.

today - what a joy! Emotional, SO funny, beautiful to look at, amazing cast (
@RealChalamet
& Calah Lane really shone) & the songs by Neil Hannon were perfect. Thank you so much Paul King &
@simonfarnaby
- a new family favourite! ♥️

Sending so much love to everyone on Ghoststwt today - my heart goes out to you all. I didn't know Ben well but, from the interactions we had, he was such a lovely boy. 💔
I know it's different, because I'm older than most of you, but PLEASE reach out if you ever need anything.
@Lazbotron
Holt really was perfect. Andre's delivery & the way he used his incredible voice... just amazing. He was completely fantastic in Homicide & his guest role in House too, and the first role I saw him in was City of Angels, which I thought he was just beautiful in. Such a sad loss.
Sending love to everyone this morning, and hugs, if you need them. It's a really sad, grey day - please don't stay silent if you're struggling. And remember that everyone grieves differently - there's no right or wrong way.
Thinking of you all. ♥️
@DandySpectacles
Oooh, good question! I think maybe Cap, since it's because of Alison that the Ghosts bonded more and he felt safe enough to reveal his true self? Although Julian has undergone quite a bit of self-realisation since meeting her too. And obviously Pat learnt more about his family...
Turns out watching Labyrinth hasn't been quite so emotional as I thought it would be, thanks to my lovely toddler. So far, Ludo has been called "Foodle", "Noodle", "Roodle" and "Loodle". 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ She's doing a running commentary and chuckling away... good times. 🥰
@MarthaHD
The love you all have for each other is one of the things that makes Ghosts so very special - it just shines through into the show.
Thank you so much for all the joy it's brought me, and so many others, Martha - we all appreciate you and the entire cast and crew so much. ♥️
Thank you for the kind comments. Life is just so hard sometimes & today has been proof of that. I wasn't sure whether to post or not, but I felt like I needed to. I want to support everyone here but it's naïve to think that age is always just a number.
My heart just hurts today.
@realmatbaynton
Thank you so much for saying this Mat, and for believing these women. From what I can see, so many other men in the entertainment industry seem to be staying silent. It's so disheartening and frustrating.
Received my awesome Cap and Pat badges from the talented

Thanks again, Holly! ♥️

@benwillbond
I very much agree, and an amazing writer too - but please also give yourself credit, Peter! You did so much with so little dialogue & screen time. Between you, you created a heartbreakingly beautiful, believable love story & both of you were incredible. Thank you both so much. ♥️
@greg_jenner
That voice. That delivery. He was just incredible - the heavy, emotional stuff, the deadpan lines, the times the silliness came out... he could do everything. 💔
This happened at the RHLSTP! I was in front of the person in question and was witness to them lifting up their trouser leg to show Larry his own face. 😂
Also, Larry is lovely, bless him. Far too self-deprecating though!
@realmatbaynton
Oh no, Mat - thank *you*. Truly. It's been the most beautiful show - an absolute joy to watch and one I know I'll always return to. Merry Christmas to you and yours, I hope it's a peaceful one. x (PS. Saw Wonka on the weekend - you were awesome! So pleased it's done so well. 😊)
Two more awesome Ghosts pins to add to my collection, courtesy of
@DandySpectacles
! Thank you so much, Holly! Not only are they beautiful, but I love how you package your creations with so much love and care. 🥰 You're the best. ♥️
Oh, what a beautiful article. Just lovely that the cast are all so emotionally invested in the show and love that the fans are too. I'm so not ready for this to end. 💔

(Possible spoilers!)
When your toddler is growing up far too quickly, but still loves to nap having cwtches with Mummy. 🥰
It means I get absolutely nothing done until she wakes up of course, but I wouldn't swap this for anything. Enjoy ALL the snuggles with your babies, people! ♥️
@FannyBoton
I feel a bit sick looking at these photos, as I know it's going to be so emotional. He really is amazing with his expressions and microexpressions.
@MarthaHD
It was a beautiful finale, Martha. Bittersweet, but so, so lovely. I love how much Fanny has grown over the series (no innuendo intended! 😳) and how much she really does care for Alison and the other ghosts. Thank you for the most wonderful show, I'll truly miss it. ♥️
#ThereSheGoes
😭 Heartbreaking, darkly hilarious & so touching. Amazing performances by David Tennant, Jessica Hynes, & of course Miley Locke. 2 lovely scenes with Ben Willbond too - one deliciously awkward, one sweet. A very moving final scene, with a glimmer of hope. Fantastic.
@Lazbotron
Thank you so much, Larry. It was such a beautiful ending - one of my favourite ever finales, I think. And I really loved that you were all together at the end - just perfect. ♥️
("Bring your bananas?!" really made me cackle - thank you. 😊)

@annahamiltonart
I'm so glad that things have improved so much for you, it's really heartwarming. 🥰 I hope you don't feel too overwhelmed with the amount of orders - people will understand if it takes a little while, I'm sure. Best of luck! ♥️
@DandySpectacles
I always think that too. She really has grown, and she and the Captain have a lovely friendship.
Oh, this programme!!! 😭 So many beautiful moments, big and small.
@EliGhostie
Oh God, Eli. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I only met Ben once, when I met you at ComicCon, but we had a few interactions afterwards on here and he was such a lovely boy. I'm just so sorry. 💔
Just thinking about my kind, gentle Great Aunt, who always signed every single card with the phrase "With fondest love". I didn't understand it when I was a child - why did she always write the same thing?!
I get it now and I think it's beautiful.
"With fondest love." 🥰
@FannyBoton
This is just too cute! Larry and Martha look like the happy, confident kids, Ben looks like the sweet, shy kid, and Simon looks like the kid who doesn't give a fuck and is about to be sent to the Headteacher's office. 😁
@debspenceart
Your talent just seriously blows my mind every time! 🤯 The bubbles, the scratches on the sink, the way the spoons look slightly tarnished and the detail on the handles... you make the mundane look so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your work, and Merry Christmas! ♥️
Latest cake design, for my daughter's birthday. EXTREMELY pink & girly, as you would expect with an LOL cake, but she was thrilled so I'm pretty happy too. 😊 No major cake decorating disasters either, which is always a bonus! 🙌

! Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for making us all smile (and sometimes sob!) in the process. I hope you have the best day celebrating with your loved ones and that the next year brings wonderful things your way. 🥳🎂🍸
@SixidiotsCapt_B
It means a P.S. So it could either mean that the main action happens and then there's another scene after (maybe the emotional 3-4 minutes Larry mentioned? 🤔) or there might be a post-credits scene? (Maybe with the plague ghosts, since we know that was the last scene filmed?)
@RachelCDailey
Yep. I was off school fully for 2 years during high school, then still only part-time/however much I could manage until I finished my A-levels. Some teachers STILL made me feel awful for missing so much school. 😡
And don't even get me started on "attendance certificates"...
@Lazbotron
@simonfarnaby
@realmatbaynton
You six are so sweet to each other, it's lovely. 😊 Although I think this Tweet is really just an excuse to show off how fancy you are with your iced plum wine, isn't it Larry?! 😁

Special mention goes to Tom Holland doing Umbrella on Lip Sync Battle as it's one of my favourite things on the internet, EVER.
The kindness of strangers can mean SUCH a lot. It can be scary to reach out but please try not to be afraid of it, people - you have no idea how much you could be brightening someone's day. ♥️

@rufusjones1
This was such a tough read, but thank you for sharing it. What a vile excuse for a human he is. He and everyone who covered for his disgusting behaviour should be brought down - we can only hope.
Throwback to last year when I was in a mad panic about finishing my son's cake on time. As it always tends to be when I make a cake, it was a looooong night. Everything was edible, apart from support wires in the snitch.

Despite things not turning out the way you hoped, you should all be so proud of yourselves for your determined efforts and for raising so much money for the SSAFA and awareness of what the SBS did. Well done, guys - now go and REST!!!
4 years ago my best friend died. Thinking of her even more than usual and doing what I always do on this day: watching Labyrinth and dancing round the kitchen to "our" songs. Happy memories mixed with tears. Time doesn't really heal, we just learn to carry our grief with us. 💔
You know you're way too tired when you ask to be passed the pencil sharpener, instead of the veg peeler. 🤦🏻♀️
Merry Christmas everyone. ♥️ I hope you're all safe and well - sending extra love to the people struggling right now. 🫂♥️ x
@EliGhostie
I think either the cadet pic or the one of the 2 Ben's - although I would personally crop Ben W out of it. It's beautiful but I'm assuming he hasn't given consent to use it on a GoFundMe page, so it doesn't seem quite right to include him? That's just my personal opinion tho. ♥️
@simonfarnaby
It really does look amazing and, based on what a fantastic job you and Paul did with Paddington 2, I'm sure it will definitely meet all expectations! Roll on Christmas!
TW: Sexual assault
A really difficult thread to read, and heartbreaking how often assaults were/are downplayed. So important to reiterate that touching someone else, against their will, is NEVER just a "joke" or "a bit of fun".
Sending love and strength to anyone affected. ♥️
Years ago, out of nowhere, a young man lifted my skirt and revealed my underwear to a crowded pub. I screamed at him but didn’t report because at the time, it would’ve been seen as high jinx, silliness. He’s soon to appear on a popular TV show. And I feel sick all over again.
@teagle_teagle2
@DandySpectacles
That's true - plus she was the one to call Cap brave after he revealed his death story, and she became much less judgemental overall.
@Daniely34998050
Jesus, this is truly horrendous. Sent away at 6 years old too. 💔 I really hope your Dad had a good life post-boarding school, and that you weren't too affected by his experiences either.
@EliGhostie
Oh God, my heart. 💔 I'd seen people say how talented Ben was, but I never expected a voice like this. So, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a special moment with us, Eli. ♥️
@ghostgivers
Well done to everyone who took part in

this evening! You were all so good, I really enjoyed listening. ♥️ Well done for raising money for
@tourettesaction
too, you're all fab. 💪

This is amazing! More proof that they lurk just as much as the rest of us. 😁 Love that he shared the behind the scenes info about why he wasn't in the carol scene.
@Lazbotron
@simonhynd
Wishing you the happiest Christmas, Larry! Ghosts has been such a joy to watch, & share with others too. Truly a show that is as heartfelt as it is hilarious, which is what makes it so very special. I'm so grateful for it, thank you so much. Looking forward to what comes next. ♥️
@greg_jenner
I used to hate it when we'd visit somewhere and my Dad would read EVERY information board and go on about the architecture. Now I'm nearing 40 and am the parent who reads every information board and goes on about the architecture. It's the circle of life, clearly!
Thank you so much
@BridgetChristie
for a great show in Northampton tonight - amazingly funny, as always, and you handled some very rude audience members so beautifully. Awesome stuff. 💪
@Pops__o
Watched it again today with my son - 2nd time for me, 1st time for him. He cried, I cried - just so emotional! 😭 Great soundtrack too, as usual for a Guardian's film.
Let's get our soldier a place in button house. All money will go directly to

I told Ben at the RHLSTP that I really loved the Peter and Alison shorts and thought they were hilarious - he looked really embarrassed and pretty much ran off, bless him. 😂😂😂
@Helen_J_Andrew
I cannot BELIEVE they didn't win! I did wonder if they'd had a tip-off though, since only Ben, Larry and Charlotte were there? 🤔 Just so gutted for them. 💔
Thank you
@RachelCDailey
and
@Louiestowell
for a great chat - it was really lovely to hear more about your book, Rachel! Also very glad that a school tour might be in the works. 🤞 (That was my question.)
Thank you both again! 👏👏👏
@RaaRaaPatracleo
Was that on Jools Holland?! I only watched it for a bit, but as they were scanning around the audience when it first came on I asked my husband if it was Lolly!
@bbcdoctorwho
Catherine Tate is such a good comedian but also sooooo good at emotional, heartfelt, tear-inducing acting. Can't wait to see her and David Tennant back together again! One of my favourite Doctor/Companion combos. 😊
Happy New Year, Twitter people!
Last year was a difficult one for so many of us, for so many reasons. Here's hoping that 2024 is much better for us all. Sending love and good thoughts to everyone, especially those who are struggling. ♥️
@realmatbaynton
It was gorgeous, Mat. Such a heartwarming (yet heartbreaking) end to a beautiful show. I literally laughed through my tears at the end. Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas to you and yours. ♥️
Sending lots of luck to everyone getting their A-Level results and uni choices. If you're not happy with what you get PLEASE remember that exams can be re-sat, grades aren't always everything and you can still find a way to get to where you want to go in life. You've got this. ♥️
@MarkDuplass
This is a lovely way to see things - thank you for sharing this and for being so open about your struggles too. It's always good to know you're not alone. I hope that you're in a better place soon and that the coming year brings happiness (and balance) your way. ♥️
@collywobbles58
@jmogsanddogs
I thought the same - they totally knew (I didn't think they looked very happy, bless them) and Ben, Larry and Charlotte took one for the team. Such a massive shame, they totally deserved to win. ☹️
@Helen_J_Andrew
Oh Helen, I'm really sorry people are still giving your grief about this. Just keep blocking them and hopefully they'll give up soon. ♥️ x

I still wonder if the cracked mirror isn't to do with his death, but is representing the fact that his image of himself (his reflection) is distorted/cracked because he's hiding the fact that he's gay? 🤷🏻♀️
I guess we'll find out tomorrow! 😳
@NathanBryon
Oh God, this is amazing. As a parent myself, I would find it hilarious if this happened in a panto I was watching and would probably cackle very loudly. You sound like you made a great villain, tbh! 🤷🏻♀️
