Shopify has 5 VPs of Product. Four of us are ex-founders. The other one was an NCAA heptathlete.
A lot of what makes Shopify special is that it is full of founders and people who take an obscene amount of ownership over every problem.

*a lot* of really talented people apply to Shopify and it’s easy to be tempted to create roles to make space for them - almost always though it’s better to center the org around few people with high leverage than slice it into groups with high dependencies

And Shop Pay Installments is around 8% of rev. (Klarna is around 1%)
