It’s obvious the man reformed himself. He’s now a strong advocate against animal cruelty and plainly not the same person who committed the crimes for which he served time.
We should celebrate people who reform themselves, if for no other reason than to encourage reformation.
I find myself agreeing with this. While Barkley and Nash were better players at their peak than Booker’s been (so far), Booker means more. He took our franchise from our lowest lows to our highest highs. And he never complained along the way; he just got better every single year.
Reggie Miller is actively rooting for the Mavericks. It’s not particularly fun to watch as a Suns fan. I get that longer series + underdogs winning is more fun if you’re mostly neutral. But you’re the announcer. Make it less obvious.
I really hope we get Scott Foster tomorrow. I just want him out of the way. Losing two close and hard fought games in Milwaukee before facing Foster in Game 5 is my current worst case scenario.
PHX finished 1 game out of the NBA’s best record (after an 8-0 bubble) & were the NBA’s best against >.500 teams. With a G5 W they’d go 12-3 to win the West.
You can cry about your misfortunes, but don’t belittle PHX. They’re not squeaking by; they’ve been dominant for 11 months
There’s no way the Suns are here if they don’t sign Jae Crowder, right? His influence far exceeds his play, which is streaky but great overall. He oozes confidence, plays hard as hell, and will rush to a teammate’s defense. He’s an awesome personality for a contender to have.
If you think Devin Booker and Chris Paul can’t win one game in Milwaukee, you are wrong. I don’t know if they will win. But I’m beyond certain that they can.
Tonight, the Phoenix Suns can eliminate LeBron James and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers from playoff contention.
Suns fans: Please reply with a gif that shows how you’re feeling at this moment.
Remember how you felt after Clippers Games 3 and 5? Feel familiar at all?
The Suns are up 2-1 in the NBA Finals after losing on the road to a desperate Milwaukee team with a rabid crowd. Got Scott Foster out of the way in a game we’d have lost anyway. We are more than fine.
We cannot underestimate how important that win was. That’s a game the Phoenix Suns have never won in their franchise history. We don’t prevail over negative juju like that. But maybe we do now.
Mikal Bridges successfully guarded Kevin Durant and Steph Curry in consecutive games. And he was *wildly* successful against the latter.
Mikal Bridges for DPOY isn’t a cute meme anymore. He’s very much at that level.
The Phoenix Suns have been blessed with remarkably strong guard play throughout their history. But nothing compares to this CP3-Booker backcourt. They’re transcendent.
If Devin Booker played for the Knicks he'd start the ASG every single year.
If the Suns had as many fans as the Lakers we'd have 28 wins and 20 losses, not the other way around.
I'm quite serious. This league has a fucking problem.
I’m joining the “Cam Johnson needs to start” train. It’s the playoffs; it’s 1-1; and we’re about to play two road games for our playoff lives without Devin Booker. It’s time to make the real adjustments.
I’m freaking proud of the Phoenix Suns. They didn’t go away. They fought. It took legendary Giannis to beat them. They’re my favorite team of all time.
I’ll never forget the 9 straight wins starting with LAL G4 and ending with the Valley Oop in LAC G2. Maybe the most fun I’ve ever had rooting for the Suns.
Until today I had assumed all Phoenix Suns fans want the Suns to win a championship. Then today I learned there are Suns fans who wouldn’t trade Deandre Ayton for Kevin Durant. So there goes that.
Deandre Ayton has started 13 games this year. He has attempted 9 free throws. Total. In all the games.
Incredible that people thought hall-of-fame guard play was holding back Ayton when it was actually obscuring just how much of a bust he was at
#1
overall.
Is Cam Johnson getting Sixth Man of the Year buzz yet or is everyone still sleeping? His efficiency is off the charts and he plays solid defense at a hugely important position. Seems like he should be on the shortlist at least.
Chris Paul playing below his normal level. Deandre Ayton playing well below his normal level. The best players in Game 1. Everyone else responds by picking them up.
This freaking team, man.
41 points.
8 assists, 0 turnovers.
3 steals.
16 of 24 from the field.
7 of 8 from three.
Scored 14 of the Suns’ 16 points during the game’s key stretch.
Legend.
Deandre Ayton winning his matchup against Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic in back-to-back playoff Game 1s is one of the stories of the playoffs. Absolute game changer if he remains this player.
Is there a single Suns fan who doesn’t want them to sign Biyombo for the rest of the season? What a revelation he’s been. I honestly don’t understand how he’s this good.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhhhahahahahahhahahahhaha
That’s Chris Paul’s last laugh as he sends the Suns to the finals, Beverley, you dirty piece of shit.
Deandre Ayton is one of the best defenders in the playoffs simply because it’s impossible to call bullshit fouls on him. He doesn’t foul. He just extends.
The Phoenix Suns have played 43 games so far this season. 33% of their losses occurred in their first 4 games. Since then they’re 33-6, i.e., winning at an 85% clip, often without at least one key contributor.
Might be a pretty good basketball team.
“Are we sure Bradley Beal instead of Landry Shamet makes any difference in the Nuggets series?”
Not the best anti-Beal trade argument from Bill Simmons.
Man, the wolves are really out for Devin Booker today, eh? It continues to bewilder me how disliked he is by NBA media and bloggers. What is considered playoff intensity/fun trash talk from other players is considered a moral transgression when Booker does it.
If you believe in this team the way I do, try to act like it tonight. I’m sorry they’re probably not gonna win their 10th playoff game in a row; LAC is down 2-0 in the WCF and in survival mode. We’re still in great shape. Disappointment is fine. Depression is unwarranted.
It’s funny that the Suns completely destroyed the MVP of the NBA last year in a series and people are like “well he was missing Jamal Murray so it doesn’t count.” Jamal Murray matters; he’s really good. He also hasn’t made an all-star game. He doesn’t cancel out sweeping an MVP.
Two things:
1) I doubt Kawhi plays, but if PHX can’t beat ACL Sprain Kawhi once in two games (including a home G7) they don’t deserve the Finals.
2) I don’t care about LAC’s guys. I care about our guys playing Phoenix Suns basketball again. I believe we win if that happens.
We barely avoided one of the worst things that has ever happened on an NBA basketball court. Thank god Kleber’s okay. I’m still in shock from that 10 minutes later.
We should not take the partnership of Chris Paul and Devin Booker for granted. It’s one of the coolest things in Arizona sports history. They complement each other perfectly as the tactician and the artist.
Chris Paul bringing up the fact that Jokic will get his MVP trophy in Denver before Game 3 tells you everything you need to know about Chris Paul. He’ll have the Suns ready for that energy.
Woj says the NBA is trying to bring 22 teams to Orlando
“Thursday will be the day of the vote and it's expected to overwhelmingly pass."

I don’t want to see any Sun step on the floor tonight other than these eight:
Chris, Book, Mikal, Jae, Ayton, Payne, CamJ, Craig
If your question is “what about Saric?” I respond: Don’t try to match Boogie. Play him off the floor.
James Jones took a franchise most recently famous for goat shit, firing coaches, and smoking out infants and turned it into *this* in… 2.5 years. Give the Executive of the Year to whomever you want. I know who the Executive of the Year(s) actually is.
