Because they're sometimes based off the alien's appearance while NOT being their actual species name (like "Fourarms" being his name for the Tetramand form, etc).
The names did improve as he got older but the OG 10 were pretty much named around appearance.

They're replaceable NPCs who give powerups. The game might be harder if they go away but still playable.

Arguably not even with one, considering that the lore describes Numenoreans as "unmatched in combat" and all those guards are bigger and beefier than Galadriel....plus they're wearing heavy armour.
Maybe if she'd been established to have magic, but this show didn't do that.

She struggled a lot in that fight, as you'd expect an unpowered shieldmaiden to against the leader of the Nazgul.
Consistency and internal logic weren't sacrificed for the sake of a badass woman moment. It was an earned victory, not one just handed to her on a plate.
