Watching some old YouTube farm videos. When do you think farmings peak was? I’d say 1978? Nice equipment. Much of it is still in service to this day. Every farm had animals and kids.

When this pic was taken Feb 1979 corn was $2.45 and interest was 11%. Today that corn would be worth $10.91 per bushel and yet no protests today. The average yield was 109.5bu acre. That’s the equivalent of $1194 per acre gross income.

I hired a young guy a few months ago. He’s helped work on trucks, semis, balers, put shovels on the soil finisher, tires, helped pour concrete, flip seed boxes, now servicing the combine. He complained to the other guy he was hired as a farm hand😂😂🤷♂️

After looking for nearly 20-years I think I found our 1066 that was sold in 1988 at my grandfather's farm sale. I don't have a sn but the timeline, hours, and reseller all match up. It was a coincidence I stumbled on it. Hope to have it bought soon.

We buried my wife’s grandma today. She was such a nice lady and was glad to have her in my life the last 27 years. She was a grandma I never had and our last grandparent. I have such a great family and thank God everyday for our blessings.
