Cancelling student debt will not close the racial wealth gap, however, manufacturing a system that is predicated on subjecting people to crippling debt is wrong. Reparations will reduce the racial wealth gap. It specifically addresses the descendants of us Chattel slavery.

@SceneSallard Thank you for your report. @chrisronayne if I remember correctly, you stated this matter should be decided by way of the public people. These efforts are contradictory to your remarks and will only expedite the mass incarceration effort.

@briebriejoy @blackleftaf It’s imperative that the implementation of Reparations has specificity. Because it is addressing directly who was impacted by Slavery in America. No different than other restitution packages that have been implemented for other communities wronged in this nation thus far.

H.R. 40 and S.1083 have been referred to their prospective Judiciary committees since last year and no updates. Bills like these go in committees to die. I haven’t forgot about it and will continue the fight.

@michaelharriot @zonemat Everybody cares about the black community when it’s time to vote, but when it’s time for the same elected officials to vote on legislation for the black community, they no longer care. That time is done. It’s a new era where you will be held accountable.
