After 17 years on Bigside, today was the final match as forwards coach for the legend that is Stu Oliver. Don’t worry he is not leaving us! Thank you so much Stu, from all the staff and pupils that all you have done for SSFC

This is what it’s all about. The Evans team helping Will over the line. He then went back to help a friend from another house. Best afternoon of the year?

This fantastic lady was awarded Honorary Old Sedberghian status on Monday night. Well done Amanda! So thoroughly deserved. So much more than a Head’s PA.
@SedberghOS
On the final day of term, I am delighted to announce that we have raised over £60,000 for our Ukrainian Christmas Appeal. “The Wolf”, our mobile pizza van, will be heading out there in the New Year. Thank you, everyone.
Winder’s “clear cut outline” looked incredible in this early morning’s sun! We look forward to welcoming back all of our pupils tonight, for the Summer Term.
It was a pleasure yesterday to welcome back cricketer Harry Brook(OS) back and congratulate him on his first England cap. Good luck for the season, Harry, playing for God’s county!
What an incredible finish to the term with our Carol Concert. The School were as loud as I have ever heard them sing, and the choir were out of this world good

Happy Christmas everyone, stay safe and look after each other.
A huge pleasure to welcome back OS Myles Scott to Sedbergh. Myles delivered a really powerful assembly this morning, with some really important messages for our pupils.
Only at Sedbergh. Senior House rugby in the near darkness. The picture makes it look brighter! The standard was fantastic! Well done, to all six houses.
Happy Half Term to all Pupils, Staff, Parents, Old Sedberghians, and anyone connected to Sedbergh School - I hope you have a lovely week! Here’s hopeful for blue skies and lots of sunshine!
☃️ Everybody in great spirits on their way to lessons this morning... some with slightly colder hands than others!
📹 Thank you to Mrs Pye for capturing the action
A lovely commute to work on a hazy morning. The Wavell Wakefield Pavilion, the netball courts, The Hirst Centre and Buskholme hold a special place in the hearts of many Sedberghians.
A wonderful end to the half with a fantastic Unisons competition. I am so proud of all we have achieved as a School in the last 6 weeks. Have a restful and relaxing break, everyone!
🗣️ "He's a phenomenal coach. I always go back to him, through good and bad times, and I will do for the rest of my career."
💥 A pleasure to watch Harry back in the Sports Hall this morning - Marketing team are relieved that the camera equipment survived!!
Wow! What a weekend. Stunning musical evenings, fixtures, socials, a beautiful chapel service, well over 200 back for OS weekend. Thanks to all who made it so special!
What a day in the sun! The Open Mile finished off a wonderful Sports Day. Then House Garden Parties, a fantastic Scholars Recital and Evensong to finish.
Thank you to the Old Sedberghian Club for a fantastic dinner last night. 180 guests were wined and dined in Powell Hall and a day of OS sport today. Please keep coming back to see us!
Before talking about our Sedberghian values in Chapel this morning, I decided to visit the hills that I associate with these values. Calf(Humility), Calders (Ambition),Arant Haw (Resilience), Winder (Kindness).

We are so very proud of both of you this weekend. Winning and losing with dignity and humility is so important and you are superb role models for todays Sedberghians. Thank you.

All set up and ready to go for our National Super 10s starting tonight with a huge dinner. Matches tomorrow and Monday. 16 excellent teams are here and raring to go and the weather is set fair…
I was delighted this Thursday morning to award Headmasters Colours to the Head of School, Oliver, for all of his outstanding work leading the pupils this year. Thoroughly deserved!

We are so proud of these girls. It is fantastic to see them wearing the brown shirt with pride. Starting something is always the hardest part. Well done!
History in the making! 🟤🟡
Today was our first ever competitive fixture for our girls rugby team lead by captain Annie. What a great experience and some good learnings for the group, and hopefully many more fixtures to come. 👏👏

Not a bad surprise shirt presentation….This is what the SSFC means to us! After unfortunately missing out on a full 1st XV season through injury O. Spencer is now fully fit and back to lead the SSFC. We are so proud of you. The whole of the SSFC past and present are behind you.
Incredible weather for our Wednesday Epic this afternoon. A little icy but beautiful blue skies and winter sunshine. We had well over 200 pupils on the fells.
As always bonfire night didn’t disappoint this Sunday night (the photo could be better). The whole school and the town witnessed a lovely night and an incredible multicoloured display.
It’s dark and drizzly outside but in 10 minutes time the School Chapel will be full of 590 pupils singing in full voice to start the second half of term.
#sundayevensong
A view from the balcony….
If you look closely you will see the white marquee which will house the huge OS Dinner tonight, and form part of the “village” at tomorrow’s Wilson Run finish. 28 hours and counting…..
@sedberghglobalrun
Lots going on here this afternoon. Netball and hockey matches, rugby training and of course our first Epic. 100 pupils and 12 staff took on Frostrow Wall (10k with a reasonable climb) in good conditions.
To cap off a great rugby Saturday, I took my Dad to watch Wharfedale vs Tynedale. Lots of Sedbergh connections on the pitch and in the clubhouse afterwards.
