One nice thing we can say about WWE 2K20:
It helped us find a display bug. When 0% of critics recommend a game, we incorrectly displayed ?% instead of 0%.
Fixed in the next deploy!

Tears of the Kingdom's lead on this ranking is quite significant.
Detailed averages are (currently)
#1
- Tears of the Kingdom: 97.223
#2
- Super Mario Odyssey: 96.811
#3
- Breath of the Wild: 95.905
Tears reviews:
Less than 1% of games have top critic averages of 90 or higher.
To have two different games hit that achievement on the same week is pretty unusual. The same day? Wild.

Considering implementing a "crunch meter" on OpenCritic, similar to Glassdoor.
The idea is that devs could anonymously report work/life balance during development of a game. We'd try to work in some sort of verification process (perhaps verified LinkedIn work email).
Thoughts?

We aren't putting this warning in response to bugs or performance issues. We trust critics to call those out.
We've added this warning due to the deceptive practices surrounding review copy distribution and its impact on the game's perception.
Reviews for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are in, and it looks like FromSoftware has done it again!
Currently MIGHTY after 23 reviews. Read them all here:

We are also seeing very limited Cyberpunk 2077 review copies.
We are not publishing a specific embargo time, because we cannot get enough publications to verify it, because so few have received codes.
With that said, we believe reviews land tomorrow.
We think the most shocking part of this isn't the average score
It's that, somehow,
@daedalic
got over 40 publications to actually review it on launch day
Curiously, I looked up games I loved that weren't 'critical hits':
79 - Wolfenstein: TNO
79 - Jedi: Fallen Order
79 - Prey
77 - Quantum Break
76 - Transformers: War for Cybertron
75 - The Evil Within
74 - Binary Domain
74 - Dying Light
73 - Mad Max
71 - Days Gone
So many gems!
1/ We've received a lot of questions about our loot box announcement and the focus on gambling. We want to be clear that this notification is not solely about gambling, though loot boxes ARE gambling and calling them such is one of our primary motivators.
A brief note on Halo Infinite. We've received a lot of questions about whether or not we would separate the campaign and multiplayer scores.
We don't have an answer, yet.
Our policy is to wait and see what the publications and critics do, and try to best reflect that.
