Among his many fingerprints left on the sport, Arnold Palmer and Joe Gibbs launched

on this date 28 years ago. For those who love this game, it’s hard to imagine life without it….
A tremendous loss for our CBS family. Remembering the The NFL Today of yesterday with our very first woman at the desk, Phyllis George ....the days of Brent and Phyllis and Irv. She inspired the dream for countless. Thanks for taking the seat at the table, Phyllis George.
One night, John Madden let these sports women borrow the Madden Cruiser and it’s driver for a NYC bar crawl. We met at his apartment at The Dakota; an apartment previously owned and floral-wallpapered by Gilda Radnor & Gene Wilder. Imagine John Madden. He wes all that plus!
A golf fact I will NEVER forget, as reported by
@Amanda_Balionis
….Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin have fingerprints on the invention of the beverage cart. Cheers!
Congratulations to Jim Nantz, who today received the NCAA President’s Gerald R Ford Award which honors those who have provided leadership as advocates for college athletics over the course of their careers. Another

Over the past few months I have been focused singularly on a challenging road through unexpected illness. Tom has been supportive including making sure I have the best possible care. I am beyond grateful to him and blessed that I will make complete and full recovery…1/2
Bill Raftery....77 and absolute best in the business and universally recognized as among best people in college basketball. As ball is decided in scramble off Illinois player’s toe, “Another reason not to wear orange shoes.”
Tom Brady and Tiger Woods just beat a generation of players who grew up pretending to be Tom Brady and Tiger Woods. It’s getting cooler and cooler to be old !!!
Beloved. Respected. Trusted. Admired. Talented. Intuitive. Insider. A friend to golf and a story teller to all. How we in television and media will miss our forever friend, Tim Rosaforte. He will always represent the best of us.

Spoke to my special friend RuthAnn Oosterhuis just two days ago. Peter, who is in late stages of Alzheimer’s is adored by his wife who shows unwavering love and remembers their life’s adventures with enough sweet detail for two.
Loved Peter Oosterhuis. He was a friend, a colleague and a champion for a conversational cocktail. Fondly remembering this smile with his treasured Ruth Ann who was the best club in his bag vs. Alzheimer’s. This photo from earlier on a journey they handled with grace 💜
Ten years ago, Jim Nantz founded the Nantz National Alzheimer’s Center in Houston...In honor of his father, James Nantz who was known for entering a room saying, “Hello, friends” - proud of my former colleague and forever friend.
One year ago, I was hit with a physical “delay-of-game” which included three months in the hospital (plus). It could have been worse and couldn’t have turned out better. I live, love, run and fly. See you in a few hours

I have spent much of the past three months in the hospital. I’m finally home! Thanks to autumn in New Jersey for welcoming me with presentation of full colors right outside my door.

When my daughter was born 20 years ago this week, Greg Gumbel announced her birth between cutting down the nets and One Shining Moment. My phone is blowing up with friends across my life remembering my shining moment.

On this SEC Championship Saturday, I celebrate my

There are few people in this career that I have loved more than Billy Packer. Always my greatest professional advocate and truest friend during our many years at CBS Sports. He was faithful and faith-filled beyond measure. God Bless you & your amazing family, Billy. Rest In Peace
Matt Kuchar is tremendously popular on Tour. He told his story. Some people will agree and some will disagree. But the best PR move now is to not answer questions on this again. The story will fade. Good deal or bad deal, it was the deal !!!
Today longtime

story would not be as rich or textured without his fingerprints & fingertips which typed and told it all. My first boss & greatest professional influence

I’m a career PR person. The answer here is that he made a mistake; he misspoke. Job done. This brought even more attention to something she was clearly trying to brush over with an answer that doesn’t hold up.
Thrilled to be here as college basketball celebrates the absolute voice of this championship. Hello friend, we are grateful for the stories you have told and the way you have told them.
#JimNantz
A little from Jim Nantz on Billy Packer. Hard to describe how close these guys were on their run together. It was a shining moment in the history of CBS Sports.
Told my kids tonight that growing up I didn’t even know who my parents voted for and wasn’t allowed to ask. Does anyone else remember that? They did say they voted for the candidate not the party. Does anyone else remember?

I don’t expect many to read this but if you are forward-thinking in the sports media or PR business, it is thought provoking. “How Gen Z is killing sports media as we know it”

Lesley Visser on Phyllis George: She was an American icon-She touched everyone around her with kindness & charm-One year at Derby, Phyllis insisted we switch hats; saying the one I was wearing was not up to network broadcast-I was probably the 25th person she helped that day
Joining golf and more in celebrating this champion. The one of a kind sound and storytelling of Verne Lundquist will be missed. He is in an even better person and colleague. Treasured fun!
This daughter - turns 22 this week. I have been infinitely blessed. She exceeds my every dream. Happy Birthday week,

I was with Nick Faldo when we learned Seve passed. These two didn’t run together. Fierce competitors as individuals, it is said, Seve counted this

My dad had vocal chord cancer decades ago. Had weeks of radiation. Never missed a day of work and never had an issue with it again. Keep doing your thing exactly as you do. It will be behind you in a flash. You are always in my prayers!!!
35 years ago today Jim Nantz said hello by joining CBS Sports as the studio host of the COLLEGE FOOTBALL REPORT and beginning a career that has been unlike any other.
When we asked Luther Vandross to sing this song he only did it for the music (not money). He wasn’t a college basketball fan. He liked the song. He asked us for his friend/makeup artist to come to NY with him & for tickets to Hairspray, which was on Broadway. That was the deal

the 34th time tonight — and there’s no plans to end its run.

In your life........no one better to run with than Verne Lundquist. Blessed on my run in sports and television to have a seat at the table when this voice holds court. He is every bit as good as he “sounds.”
