Al McKeller (UIndy) and Charles Salary (Marian) are prime examples of when a player doesn't "fit" the criteria for an FCS/FBS offer, but takes advantage of the small college football opportunity. Both are likely to be awarded an opportunity to workout in front of NFL scouts.

In his career (so far) Gibson Southern senior quarterback Brady Allen has thrown for 10,361 yards, 130 TDs with only 19 INTs. IMO, If he adds a 3A title, Allen will go down as the best ever at the position. Add that he's a 4-star recruit.
Other guys on record list don't compare.

Over the last couple of years, an average of 35 Indiana high school football players signed with a FBS D1 school in their respective class. Indiana has 325+ football playing programs. Unless you're a sure-fire D1 prospect, you better hit these small college camps coming up!
