Pat Bev: "How did you look at (Devin Booker) before?"
SAS: "He's a star"
Pat Bev: "What kinda star: a five-pointed star or a six-pointed star?"
This is why I will always love Pat Bev 😭😭😭😭😭😭
If Jemele Hill's tweet made you mad today, how mad did it make you when YOUR president called Black Lives Matter a 'symbol of hate'? Or when he called Mexicans 'rapists'? Or when questioned about black people being killed by the police, he said "so do white people"?
"I don't wanna hear about Karl Malone, I don't wanna hear about John Stockton. [Donovan Mitchell is] the best player in the history of the Jazz organization."
😮

Here's a thread on all the teams who passed on Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft, and how their decision not to draft him have changed their future, for better or worse
Fandango lasted almost a decade in WWE, and organically got over amid pitfalls most folks would have cratered under. If you weren't around for it, you wouldn't understand how massive this shit was at the time
I'm at the age where I'm starting to lose the rap legends I grew up on.... DMX and Black Rob back-to-back is a blow for everyone who grew up loving hip hop in the late 90s going into the new Millennium. They were the sound of our generation. Watching them go fucking stings.
All 11 teams, for one reason or another, chose to pass on Justin Fields. A superstar talent falls in the draft, and the unlikeliest option on the board moves up to take advantage of their mistake. Never thought it’d be the Chicago Bears, but man I'm forever grateful that it was🐻
Yo....MGM is suspending all of its Las Vegas properties...
That's the MGM Grand, Park MGM, Aria, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Bellagio, Luxor...NYNY..... Holy shit
BREAKING: Knox County Board of Health votes 7-1 to mandate a mask ordinance for anyone inside certain buildings.
Mayor Jacobs is the only nay.
Board will re-evaluate the order at its next meeting.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars (Trevor Lawrence)
Some rough patches for Trevor with a coach who stunted his growth in year one (sound familiar?), he's starting to show promise under Doug Pederson. Lawrence & Fields we're always 1a and 1b, & the Jags’ future is in good hands
Kris Bryant doesn't want to leave. The fans don't want him to leave. Jed Hoyer doesn't want to trade him.
Tom Ricketts and his cheap ass family left them all no choice
2. New York Jets (Zach Wilson)
JF1 was clearly the 2nd best QB in CFB, yet the Jets talked themselves into believing in Zach Wilson’s tools. Two years in and there's no way he comes back to the Jets next year. They'd probably be a playoff team with Justin under center 🤢
5. Cincinnati Bengals (Ja’Marr Chase)
Bengals have their QB. They're fine.
Chase was the missing puzzle piece Joe Burrow needed to reach the playoffs/Super Bowl last year. Match made in heaven.
3. San Francisco 49ers (Trey Lance)
The jury is still out on Lance, but...
1. He's missed the better part of the last three seasons (CFB+NFL)
2. 49ers should have stuck with Jimmy G as starter this season
3. Justin would have been NICE in this offense
Impeach Lori Lightfoot immediately. For lying on the body of a 13-year-old child. For suppressing our protests. For walking so many people into slaughter during COVID. Impeach her for every fucking thing.
6. Miami Dolphins (Jaylen Waddle)
Dolphins took Tua the year before, so fate willed them away from Justin and towards Jaylen Waddle.
Tua might not be good, but Waddle sure as hell is
Rock-n-Roll and Hip Hop, at their cores, are two very similar entities. They're both counter-culture; established rebellions against the outdated norm. People who love hip hop can only sit and respect when someone has the balls to crash a live show because that's so rock-n-roll.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (Devonta Smith)
Great pick. Great player. LOVE Devonta. Eagles didn't need a QB cause they took a chance on Jalen Hurts in the previous yr’s 2nd round
The dearth of black women in sports writing is garbage enough. Not only did Robert Littal
@BSO
make these women work FOR FREE, he preyed on them in the one space they need to feel welcomed - a black-run sports media company - then tried to blackball them. Fuck him and that blog.
7. Detroit Lions (Penei Sewell)
I LOVE Penei Sewell. He fell to Detroit and they were smart to snag him at 7.
Goff is their QB for the foreseeable future, and it made no sense for them to draft JF1 at the time. Glad they passed.
4. Atlanta Falcons (Kyle Pitts)
LMFAOOOOOOO
Justin Fields fell in their laps. The hometown kid who learned under Matt Ryan until he was ready to run the league. A perfect story.
Wait... Kyle Pitts? He might be decent eventually... but Jason Pitts would have a bigger impact
What's funny is this play was probably significant in Cincinnati's decision to abandon Yonder Alonso in the corner outfield and trade him to San Diego....
which prompted San Diego to trade another first base prospect: Anthony Rizzo
Best thing/story I’ve seen so far on my camp tour. A little backstory.
@CoachTomlin
was driving in his car when he saw these kids fighting in the street. Tomlin pulls over and the kids, in obvious shock at who stepped out of the car, stopped fighting. (Read full story below)
9. Denver Broncos (Patrick Surtain II)
A decent player with a good future ahead of him, but man...
Traded for Teddy Bridgewater, only to trade multiple 1sts for Russ, only to have him weigh them down with bad play & a bad contract. Thanks for passing on Justin!
